I was impressed with the customizability of your character's appearance and I think I made a pretty good likeness. I thought to myself "that looks a lot like Caska from Berserk," so I decide to create a Neverwinter Nights version of Caska. I look through the portraits and find one of a dark-skinned woman wearing a cloak with a hood, yet also clearly wearing armor. This was the most fun part of the game so far. I bought the the Neverwinter Nights Platinum DVD version on 48-hour Madness from GoGamer for $27 shipped (what a coincidence that it was on sale just then!).ĭuring installation I flip through the manual, which is ~250 pages! Then I fire it up and start creating a character. *NOTE*: Since KOTOR was developed by a primarily PC developer and was originally indended for PC I don't consider it a console RPG even though it came out on the XOBX first, when I say console RPG I mean Japanese RPG. I mostly play console RPGs, but a few months ago I had picked up KOTOR for PC for $20 and absolutely loved it, so I was eager to play another Bioware RPG. Recently there was a thread here about PC RPGs, and after hearing some good things about Neverwinter Nights I decided to pick it up.
